About us

Cosinton  Xchange is dedicated to helping the DoD with it’s procurement efforts because we understand the department’s concern about the decline of small business participation in the Defense Industrial Space – DIB

In response to the DoD’s position regarding their Small Business Strategy, Cosinton Xchange has decided to assist the DoD in solving some of these challenging issues; by supplying a variety of products and equipment we have installed on various US naval vessels over the past twenty years.

Our experience working alongside ship force personnel and other government agencies, enables us to speak the same language and understand the strict procedures required in order to complete multi million dollar contracts during new construction, ship repair and modernization / upgrades.

Our mission is simple. We are focused on supplying our military with the products they request, in order to successfully complete their missions at home and abroad.  The experience we attained working on submarines and surface ships for twenty years, enables us to understand the logistical complexity within the naval supply chain. Our dedicated team has extensive knowledge of the product types used within said naval forces, in order to maintain their home at sea and whenever they return for repairs and / or upgrades.

To become a reliable source of products when requested by the DoD, with an emphasis on Naval forces.

Reliability and Efficiency.

Experience 20+ Years

Over the past twenty years, our team has had extensive experience working on Naval submarines and surface ships during a multitude of new construction, repair and modernization avails. This past experience was attained working as employees of Electric Boat Cooperation and BAE / NSR - in Groton CT and Norfolk VA respectively. During this period we were also involved in completing said avails at NOB in Norfolk VA, plus accompanying the Navy during sea trials, to ensure that all systems we worked on operated as required.

Our Team

We are a team of Marine Electricians - first class - some of whom are retired naval servicemen with twenty years experience in the US Navy, involved with various aspects of electrical troubleshooting, repair and maintenance jobs on US navy ships - including aircraft carriers. We are all familiar with the Supply Department on board each ship therefore, has first hand knowledge about the type of non-electrical products the Navy procures to successfully perform their missions. We are therefore able to supply many of these products as requested, in a timely manner and at competitive prices.

Knowledge

As a result of receiving products obtained from MARMAC and various vendors while working on Naval vessels at the shipyards, we became familiar with packaging and labeling requirements used for shipping a wide variety of products used during installation. All team members are familiar with reading and interpreting drawings used during said installations and understand the importance of MIL-SPEC standards required for said military installations
